ANNE KAZAK, PH.D., ABPP

Anne Kazak is a Psychologist and Senior Research Investigator. She is the Enterprise Director of the Center for Healthcare Delivery Science at Nemours. She is committed to applying our knowledge of the social ecological context of children’s health to expand service delivery and improve overall outcomes of our increasingly diverse population of children with pediatric illnesses and injuries.

MELISSA ALDERFER, PH.D.

Melissa Alderfer is a licensed clinical psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience as a behavioral researcher in academic medicine. She is a Principal Research Scientist and Director of Nemours Center for Healthcare Delivery Science, Delaware Valley. Her research focuses on improving the health care experiences of families of children with chronic illness.

Program Administrator
Dana Berger is a Program Administrator at the Center for Healthcare Delivery Science at Nemours. She holds an MPH degree from the University of Pennsylvania and has 15 years experience with research coordination, grants management and research administration.

Kimberly Canter is a Pediatric Psychologist and Research Scientist at Nemours Center for Healthcare Delivery Science. Her research focuses on developing and implementing evidence-based, technology-enabled psychosocial interventions to decrease traumatic medical stress and enhance coping skills for children with chronic illnesses and their families.

J.J. CUTULI, PH.D.

J.J. Cutuli is a Senior Research Scientist at Nemours Center for Healthcare Delivery Science. He is a community-based child psychology researcher and has extensive experience in community-researcher partnerships, including active and productive partnerships with state and local education agencies, with child- and family-serving health and human service systems, and with healthcare providers.

Research Project Leader
Thao-Ly Phan is the Medical Director of the Nemours Healthy Weight and Wellness Clinic, a Senior Research Scientist at the Nemours Center for Healthcare Delivery Science, and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Thomas Jefferson University. Her research is focused on developing and testing innovative strategies to engage families in the treatment and prevention of pediatric obesity.

ERICA SOOD, PH.D.
Research Project Leader
Erica Sood is a Pediatric Psychologist at the Nemours Cardiac Center and a Senior Research Scientist at the Nemours Center for Healthcare Delivery Science. Erica conducts research on psychosocial interventions in partnership with diverse stakeholders to improve the care and outcomes of critically ill infants from underserved populations.

PAUL ENLOW, PH.D.

Paul Enlow is a Pediatric Psychologist and an Assistant Research Scientist at the Nemours Center for Healthcare Delivery Science. His research focuses on the psychological impacts of illness, disease and injury on youth.

CARISSA BAKER-SMITH, M.D., M.P.H., M.S.

Carissa Baker-Smith is a pediatric cardiologist at Nemours. Her research interests center around decreasing the burden of acquired heart disease, particularly among vulnerable populations, by addressing risk factors in youth via the creation of standardized practice models, outcomes research and quality improvement.

Julia Price is a Research Scientist at the Nemours Center for Healthcare Delivery Science. Her research focuses on the delivery of evidence-based integrated care for youth with Type 1 Diabetes and on traumatic stress among children and adolescents with illness/injuries and their families.

Abigail Strang is a Pediatric Pulmonologist, Sleep Medicine Physician and Clinical Investigator at Nemours. Her research focuses on pediatric sleep, respiratory health and improving management of children with complex medical care needs.

Danielle Hatchimonji is formerly an Assistant Research Scientist at the Center for Healthcare Delivery Science at Nemours. Her research focuses on promoting mental wellness in school communities.

Scott Siegel is a licensed psychologist and the Director of Cancer Control & Population Sciences at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute at ChristianaCare. His research focuses on developing multilevel interventions designed to address potentially modifiable risk factors.

Ursula Guillen is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology at ChristianaCare. Her research focuses on developing tools to improve the communication between clinicians and families, with a special interest in deliveries at periviable gestations.

Abby Nerlinger is a Pediatric Hospitalist and Medical Director of Research for the Nemours Value-Based Services Organization. Her research focuses on health system and community partnerships to improve health outcomes for patients and families.

Monica Gordillo is a pediatric psychologist and community-engaged researcher at Nemours. Her research focuses on co-designing autism educational resources that are accessible, trustworthy, and neuro-affirming autism.

Mikey Pariseau is a Pediatric Psychologist and Assistant Research Scientist at Nemours. Her research focuses on improving patient-centered care for adolescents in pediatric treatment settings, with a specific emphasis on developmentally appropriate, LGBTQ+ inclusive, psychosocial and medical care.
